Staying safe with Do Today
Do Today is here to support you between appointments, and part of that is looking out for your safety — here's how that works.
If you're ever in crisis
If you tell Abraham you're thinking about harming yourself or you're in crisis, safety comes first, before anything else. Abraham will immediately share where to get real help:
- Lifeline — 13 11 14 — free, confidential, any time of day or night.
- Emergency — 000 — if you or someone else is in immediate danger.
Please reach out to a real person. Abraham can sit alongside your care, but it is not a crisis service.
Food and allergen warnings
Whenever you log food — by telling Abraham, scanning a barcode, or snapping a photo — Do Today checks it against the allergies saved in your profile and flags a warning if something looks like a match. Keep your allergies up to date so these checks stay useful.
A warning is a prompt to look closer, not a replacement for reading the label yourself. And just as importantly: if no warning appears, that does not mean a food is safe for you — always check the label.
Abraham supports your care team — it never replaces it
Do Today is the in-between-appointments companion to a medically-supervised weight-loss program. Abraham can help you notice patterns, stay on track and prepare good questions for your next visit — but it does not diagnose, and it never replaces your Nurse Practitioner, Dietician or Psychologist. Anything clinical, such as medications, symptoms or changes to your plan, belongs with your care team.
Do Today is for adults aged 18 and over.
