Water and reminders
Staying hydrated is one of the simplest things you can do for your energy, and Abraham makes it easy to stay on top of.
Logging water
Just tell Abraham in the chat — "had a big glass of water", or "two coffees this morning" — and it's logged. No forms, no fuss. Abraham tallies each drink toward your target based on how much it actually hydrates you (see below). You can log food, movement, sleep and mood the same conversational way.
Your personalised water target
Abraham works out a daily water goal from your body stats — the same maths behind your calorie and activity targets — so it fits you, rather than a one-size-fits-all number.
Different fluids count differently
Not every drink hydrates the same way. Water counts fully; some drinks count part-way; and a few don't count toward your hydration at all. When you log a drink, Abraham credits it accordingly, so your total reflects what your body actually takes on — not just what was in the glass.
Reminders, in your tone
Abraham can send gentle, proactive nudges through the day if you're falling behind — and you choose the tone, from soft and encouraging through to a firmer prompt. Pick whatever keeps you drinking without feeling nagged.
To change anything, just ask Abraham in the chat:
- Turn reminders on or off — say "turn my water reminders on" or "turn my water reminders off".
- Change the tone — say "change my reminder tone" and Abraham will walk you through the options.
Good to know
If you've linked Telegram, your reminders can reach you there too — see the Telegram guide. On a Mac, Focus mode can send those nudges into Notification Centre (clock, top-right) instead of a popup banner — turn Focus off or allow Telegram, and set Telegram's alert style to Banners. Full troubleshooting is on that guide.
Your target is friendly guidance to help you build a steady habit over your first few days and beyond; Abraham never diagnoses or sets medical limits. If you have a health reason to watch your fluids, follow the advice of your own care team.
